Description: We went to Bristol Hippodrome to watch Shrek the Musical. Booked wheelchair accessible seats and a free essential companion tickets online via ATG tickets website – we already have an account with them, had to send a proof of disability before.

The accessible entry is on the side, so you avoid the queue.Disabled toilets located near the wheelchair seats.

CarWe parked the car at Brunel SS Great Britain parking (free for blue badge holders, no height restriction), Ferry took a ferry crossing on the way.The ramp to get on the ferry is quite steep, but the staff were very helpful. From the ferry crossing, it is only a few minute walk. After the show, we decided to have a nice walk back along the docks Step Free Access and WheelchairsThere is no lift at the Bristol Hippodrome Please note, our Access Entrance located on Denmark Street will open approximately 30 minutes before the performance begins.Denmark Street Access Entrance is step free although once in the Auditorium each row has a step. There is 4 wheelchair/powerchair spaces in the venue and the seats listed above are suitable if you wish to transfer to a theatre seat. Wheelchairs can be stored for the duration of the performance Our Piano Bar is step-free and wheelchair accessible from outside, or ask us for At Seat Service when you arrive. Accessible Toilets – Located at the back of our Piano Bar and at the Access Entrance located on Denmark Street. Access Performances – Audio Described, Captioned, BSL Interpreted and Relaxed performances are available Assistance Dogs – Assistance dogs are welcome and can be looked after by the theatre staff during the performance if requested in advance or on arrival.
