Description: I I recently visited the Basingstoke Harvester restaurant and encountered a few accessibility challenges. The entrance has a large and heavy push door that requires assistance to open. Once inside, the restaurant is level and accessible, and there is a radar key accessible toilet.
While the physical accessibility of the restaurant is commendable, I was disappointed by the attitude of some of the staff. My initial server was friendly and attentive, but when my server changed, the experience took a turn for the worse. The new server was patronizing and did not communicate directly with me, instead choosing to address my carer despite my carer’s attempts to redirect her to me.
When an error occurred and I was overcharged, the server’s response was condescending and unhelpful. She brought her manager over, but even then, they were unwilling to correct the mistake despite the clear evidence of the correct price on the menu.
I left the restaurant feeling dissatisfied and frustrated. Unfortunately, I will not be returning due to this negative experience.[food]
